New Urban Mechanics Fellowship Programs



Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh encourages graduate students to apply to the



The Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics (MONUM) Fellowships were created to attract the next generation of leaders to careers in public service. Candidates are recent graduates of master’s degree programs in public policy, public administration, urban planning and related fields who have a strong interest in public service. Fellowship opportunities include a one year post graduate full time fellowship as well as an eight week Summer Fellowship in the Office of
Martin J. Walsh, Mayor of Boston.   In addition to generating new ideas, fellows will learn about the mission and work of City departments working alongside Cabinet Chiefs, Department Heads and senior staff, while participating in professional development and educational seminars.
